Roadmap

Today — v1

Everything on the features page: import by sharing, import guards, dashboard, per-counter charts, badge projections, goals, local reminders, shareable card, CSV export, light and dark themes, French and English.

v1 is entirely local and will stay that way. It is not a step towards something better: it is what makes it possible to ask for nothing and collect nothing.

Next — the directions

None of this is promised or dated. It is a spare-time project, and the order will depend as much on what is useful as on what is fun to write.

What would need a server. Accounts and sync across devices, groups and leaderboards, side-by-side comparison of two agents’ curves, an automatic yearly recap, notifications pushed from a server. That is the threshold that changes what the project is: the day a server exists, the privacy page has to be rewritten. It is not a decision to take lightly, and it will not be taken quietly.

What would need nothing. Home screen widgets, an advanced exploration view for people who want to dig into their data, reading a screenshot by text recognition as a fallback if the share format ever disappears.

iOS. The code is already cross-platform, but distributing on iOS needs a paid developer account and a trip through the App Store or TestFlight — there is no sideloading equivalent. It is the only item here blocked by something other than time.

What will not happen

Anything that automates the game, reads your Ingress account or asks for your credentials. FieldTally reads a piece of text you give it, and nothing else.

Having a say

The issues are open. Saying what you are missing helps even without writing a line of code — and declaring a counter the app does not know yet is a contribution that reaches everyone immediately, without waiting for a release.
